SET-UP:
Split the group into teams and send two teams to each starting point. Give each team a club - for 'bowls' use a putter and for 'boule' use an iron. Give each player one or more balls depending on the size of the group. Give each team a football (or similar ball) to use as a 'jack'.
ACTIVITY:
The 'jack' is placed a suitable distance away fromt he start point. Players take it in turns to hit their ball as close to the 'jack' as possible until all the balls have been hit. The player closest to the 'jack' scores one point for their team. The team with the most points after a set period of time or number of 'ends' wins.
CHANGES
Easier: Reduce the hitting distance.
Harder: Increase the hitting distance. Introduce 'hazards', if playing boule (e.g. a bench to play over).
