Try and putt the ball as close the the edge of the green without rolling on to the fringe

Eye Drops

To encourage the pupil to get into a correct posture for putting and encourage good eye alignment.

Encourage the pupil to set up ready to hit the ball then take a ball and place in between the eyes (1). Drop the ball; it should land near to the players golf ball showing the eyes are directly over the line of the ball (2).

Hit the T

This will allow the players to focus on a smaller target than a golf hole. This should increase their alingment.

Players should be encouraged to aim at a smaller target during practice, so in real play their confidence is increased.

Chalk Line

To encourage the pupil to habit form the correct aim of the putter face and perceive the target line.

Using a chalk line or line of tees towards the hole / target (1), encourage the pupil to monitor the path of the stroke and the positioning of the blade at the finish of the stroke to help control direction (2)
