Use tees/cones to set up a bullseye around a hole/target preferably in the centre of the putting surface
Split pupils into teams and space equally from the centre of the bullseye.
Teams score points from putting into the various parts of the bulleye
Highest score after a certain amount of putts wins
Easier: Teams are placed closer to the target and Bullseye targets are bigger.
Harder: Teams are placed further away from target. Target is decreased in size. No score areas on the target.
Place a linbe of markers to represent the colours red, yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black - with the red marker closest to the designated target. Split the group into teams and send each team to a marked out area. Givwe each team one club and one ball.
Tstarting from the red marker, the first player tries to 'pot' a red i.e. putt the ball in or on the target for one point. If successful, they then play from a colour - the points they get depends on the colour they choose - i.e. yellow = 2, green = 3, brown = 4, ect. If they score, the player carries on alternating between the red and a colour. Whne they miss, their score is added to the team total and control passes to the next player. The team with the highest score after a set period of time wins.
Tri Golf Putting Games
Teams line up with a row of markers/tees in front of them
Place a hoop at end of each row
Place cones or tees at set distances away from the hoops.
The first player in each team attempts to chip the ball from the tee closest to the hoop (landing) into the hoop. If successful the next team player attempts to chip the ball into the hoop from the next tee continuing until the team has done so from all tees. If any attempts are unsuccessful the next player has to go back to the start.
Start Golf - Putting - Games
Set up first player 1 putter length from the hole/target.
Players play in 'sudden death' format starting 1 putter length from the hole/target and drop out when they miss. When all have played from 1 putter length move players back to 2 putters lengths etc until 1 player remains.
The set-up can be duplicated on more holes if required.
Start Golf - Putting - Games
Mark a line on the landing area using string, tees, markers, cones, etc. Mark out a hitting area
Mark out a safe area for non-hitters.
In turn players attempt to pitch the ball so that it stops as close to the line as possible. Award 5,3,1 points for the best 3 shots.
