DESCRIPTION

  • Start standing with legs apart and arms horizontal.
  • Reach forward and push the back of the hands along the floor, as far as possible, back through the legs.
  • Roll on to the back maintaining a straddle shape.
  • Roll forward into a straddle sit.

  • COACHING POINTS

  • The movement can be slow and controlled.
  • Gymnasts should have the flexibility to roll directly on to the back.
  • Good tension in the legs is required
