DESCRIPTION

  • On a gently inclined padded bench the pupil forward rolls but keeps their legs straight in a 'staddle' position.
  • By placing their hands inbetween their legs, on completion of the roll, they push on the hands, take the body weight forward, and stand with feet astride the benches.
  • COACHING POINTS

  • On commencing the straddle roll, the shoulders must be in front of the hands.
  • Legs need to be straight with ankles extended.
  • Shoulders need to be pushed forward and lowered to help attain straddle stand.
