Teach Cartwheel Progressions on floor  

‘Fan Cartwheel’ Hands are placed in a straight line; feet land at an angle, narrow at first, gradually widening until hands and feet can be placed in a straight line, with the C of G passing directly above the mobile base (hands).

Face Vaults over the end of a platform Cart Wheel Progression:

  • Placing the hands on each side of the platform kick the legs high to land on the other side of the platform.
  • Transfer the weight from one hand to the other
  • Repeat the action to return.

    Cart Wheel along the platform | Key 2 content Wheels

    Cart Wheel along the platform:

  • Standing side ways at the end of the platform perform a cart wheel action along the length of the platform.
  • Repeat the movement in reverse.

    Cart Wheels:

  • Start in 'Y' shape and take lunge step forwards.
  • Transfer of weight from foot, hand, hand to foot.
  • Hips to pass over head.
  • Exit to stand.

  • Start in 'Y' shape and take lunge step to the side.
