Game - 6 vs 4 | Tag rugby

Game - 6 vs 4:

  • Pitch is 20m x 20m. All players wearing Tag Belts

    • Start the game with a free pass, defenders must start behind the half way line

    Attacking players must try to run past defenders to score a try. If tagged, the attacker must pass the ball to a team mate. After a tackle, the defenders must give the tag back, stay on their own side of the ball and NOT intercept or obstruct the pass.

    Warm-up tag:

    Start your session by splitting the players into two teams, one with bibs and the other without.

    Once the teams have been decided begin the game of touch rugby.

    Bull Dog | Tag rugby

    Bull Dog:

  • Large Grid 30m x 30m. Start with 5 defenders in the middle

    • Everybody else stands at one end of the grid wearing tags. On teachers call, all attackers try to run past the 5 defenders to get to the opposite side of the grid.

    Attackers that are tagged join the defenders in the middle, the game keeps going until there are no attackers left.

    Catch me if you can:

  • Number of players : up to 10 in a group. Each player should have a tag belt.

    • Each player should partner up with someone and then proceed to stand side by side. On the coaches call the players run to that sideline. If the coach calls 1 for example they have to run to the sideline before the 2s can catch them.
