This Session aims to test your players - getting them dashing and darting around the court - working on their plyometric power and anaerobic stamina!
"Did you know that Volleyball is the most popular participant sport, with an estimated 800 million participants worldwide and has now been played around the world for over one hundred years" (Briner and Kaemar 1997).
To tire out your players and work on their fitness systems through use of short burst activities, this session has been designed to get people using Fast Feet, Quick Changes of Direction, finishing with a Pyramid Running drill.
Think your players are up for the challenge?
When your hitter gets stuffed, five teammates standing and watching is how you lose the point. Good attack coverage turns a blocked ball into a second swing.
Coaches spend hours correcting arms in serve receive when the real fault is almost always the feet. Fix the movement and the platform fixes itself.
Most teams win the dig and then hand the point straight back with a slow, predictable transition swing. The best 2026 sides treat the moment after the dig as their sharpest scoring chance, feeding the middle in transition and running first-tempo attacks off a defensive ball.
