As the ball enters our defensive 50 we have forced a turn over and now want to get the ball to other end of the ground as quickly as possible using the space left by our opposition. They will normally have most numbers one side of the ground we want to use the open side of the ground. . There is no structure to how we move the ball we need to react to what is in front of us. The only parameter is we must use the opposite side of the grounds to which the ball came in. Two team set up inside the 50 Defensive side has 5 v 4. Ball is kicked in by to the 50 Defensive side to intercept mark (blocking out opponents in the process) Mark is take then it is game on move the ball from out of the defensive 50 to he open (opposite side to which it came in) wing Offensive team is trying to force a turn over and keep the ball inside the attacking 50.
â¢Donât leave your opponent too early wait until mark is taken awarded. Dynamic and quick ball movement is required to beat opposition to clogging and guard the open space. â¢Precise kicking inside of 50 (low flat kicks) â¢Hard running into the space at pace. â¢Kick to grass allow our quick feet to prevail. â¢Be patient and do not crucify players that may turn the ball over in our early stages.
