Attackers and defenders stand on cones opposite each other with a ball in the middle. The attacker is to show correct technique while running in to pick up the ball. The tackler is to show a good technique in tackling the player.
Coaches to look for attackers getting to the ball to pick up in a side on position. This is so the body takes the coming impact from the defender rather than the head which could cause a potential injury. This also allows the attacker to power out and spin out of the tackle. Look for the defenders body position and how they are tackling. Avoid high tackles and make sure correct tackling technique is excited when bringing the player to ground.
