Golf: Run The Gauntlet

Great drills and practices thank you. Have used to great success for...
Steve, Clayesmore Prep School

DESCRIPTION

SET-UP:
Mark out one or more obstacle courses using hoops, chairs, benches and other suitable markers. The course layout is set depending on the ability of the group. Use a suitable marker for the beginning and the end of the course. Split the group into teams and send each team to a starting point. Give each team a club and a ball.

ACTIVITY:
Teams play the course taking alternate shots. Each player attempts the same obstacle until one of them is successful. The team then moves onto the next obstacle. The first team to get to the end wins.

COACHING POINTS

CHANGES

  • Players can have fun designing their own courses.

  • Easier: Simplify the course.

Harder: Add more obstacles. Set 'traps' using obstacles which send players back to the beginning when they hit them.
