Gymnastics: Jump to long shape with 1/2 twist to feet

COACHING POINTS

At take off swing arms forward and up and stretch into long shape.

Good ankle extension.

At top of jump, head leads twist to pick up external focus (1/2 twist).

Pull lead shoulder back and look under armpit to see point of focus.

Landing:-

Flex hips and knees.

Push knees forward; drop hips down.

Back straight.

Lower arms to sides of body.
