Players in pairs with the ball on the right.
Player 1 runs into the circle towards the defender. The defender runs out, with their body positioning blocking the direct pass to the support player (player 2).
Just before the player 1 gets within tackling range of the defender they perform the reverse stick drag to go around the defender's reverse stick side (defender is not allowed to run back).
Next the player runs to commit the keeper and then passes the ball to the support player on the far post for that player to sweep the ball into the open goal (first time shot).
Once the attacking players are more comfortable with this drill the defender could run out with the stick on the reverse or forehand and the player on the ball has to decide whether to pass the ball direct to the support player or go round the player.
