Passing Through A Line Of Defence
Skills Focus: Possession, Close Control, Quick Passing Overview: The players in the end zones can pass the ball to each other laterally but the aim is to try and pass the ball from one end zone to the other, without the ball being intercepted by the defenders who can only defend on the line. Reverse Stick Receive and Shot
Skills Focus: Shooting, Receiving, Forward Runs Overview: Attacker will initially run towards the passer to show for the ball, then peel off, aiming their run towards the baseline. The attacker should take a receiving touch, followed by a shot at goal off their left foot. Key Improvement: Receiving the ball on the move and passing into the runners path. |

Defend The Circle
Skills Focus: Defending 1 On 1, Engaging The Attacker, Positioning, Mirroring Overview: Defenders start on the D and play to the attacker on the left or right to instigate a 1 v 1. The defender should rush out to engage with the defender early and stop the attacker from entering the D, instead showing them down the outside. Key Improvement: Learn attacking movement patterns to move the ball through the court. |

Deflections & Covering Angles - Goalkeeping
Skills Focus: Positioning, Anticipation, Footwork, Recovering Speed Overview: A ball is fed out to the winger who takes the ball into the circle. This player either takes on the shot or passes the ball to the back post. The goalkeeper tries to cover the angles for the initial shot or quickly reacts to the pass, diving to get to the ball and block the shot. Key Improvement: Goalkeeper positioning and reaction speeds to adjust to different scenarios. |

Simple Weight Transfer
Skills Focus: Weight Transfer, Dribbling, Ball Control Overview: Develop the confidence to drag the ball from one side to another at different speeds. Plus create the spring in the transfer of weight so that when transfered to eliminations, the attacker has the ability to spring out of the skill and accelerate away. Quick Break
Skills Focus: Quick Break, Overloads, Attacking Movement, Dribbling, Passing Overview: Two defenders start in the circle and pass to one of the three attackers outside the 23 metre line. This prompts the start of the drill with the attackers using attacking movement and positional rotations to drag defenders out of position to create space for the ball carrier and other supporting players Key Improvement: Attacking with an overload on the break. Movement in attack to make space for attacking teammates. |
