Within netball it is incredibly important to have a strong shooting circle, with confident shooters who can work together and support each other. In addition to this, the session will help work on your players shooting accuracy to help win games.
What's in the Session?
The session begins with a fun shooting warm up to get your players familiar with the shooting sensations and allow them to get practicing. The session progresses to allow your players to understand the movement required to get the ball close to the post, as well as highlighting the importance of rebounding the shot. ?Circle Rotation? provides your players with the opportunity to begin working within partnerships, forcing your players to open their visual field and consider their timing and movement in relation to their shooting partner. As it can be difficult to get the ball into the circle, the session also explains how to successfully hold your space as a shooter, to allow for an easy ball into the circle. The session concludes with a modified game of netball, with certain conditions placed upon the game to get your players implementing what they have learnt.
Your shooters are one of the most important players on court as they are the only ones who can convert your team's hard work into goals! This session will really help get your shooters working together to secure that win.
