It is important your players understand and develop their core basic skills to defend effectively and increase your teams chance of turning over the ball.
What's in the Session?
The session begins with a fun warm up to get your players working together to maintain possession, whilst also looking for interceptions from the defence. To secure possession it is important your defenders maintain a narrow foot base and fast feet, particularly within the circle the defenders need to keep moving around their attacker to ensure they cannot set up. 1 Vs 1 Defending In The Circle? allows your defence to track the ball coming through court, ensuring they focus on their movement and timing to secure the interception. The session concludes with group drills to allow your players to practice working within a unit.
Ensure your players nail these basic skills in order to secure possession and turnover the ball.
