Attackers need to think about their options to avoid bunching up together in one area. To make the most of any attacking opportunities when they arise, attackers need to have accurate passing and good ball handling skills.
What?s in the Session?
Attackers need awareness of the other players on their team, as well as the opposition and their defenders. The two warm up drills work on this, evading defenders by using space effectively and passing accurately. Players need to be able to receive and pass on the move, to make the flow of the ball through court seamless, therefore this is worked on.
There are 3 practices for passing and moving, increasing options for decision making by adding defenders and more options. Finally, players utilise all of the skills in a side or backline pass to get the ball through court.
