Returning the serve is a key part of any tennis players? game - if the opposition get too many aces, then it could be game, set and match for them. It?s important to get your racket on the ball and to deal with the serve well, instead of hitting it into the tramlines.
With this session plan, we?ll teach your players to hit cross-court returns to immediately put their opponent under pressure. Different drills will get your players testing their forehand and backhand strokes, and being more progressive with their play.
Having quick reactions is key to hitting a good return, so we?ll work on your player?s coordination through a simple ladder drill. We?ll then look at your player?s ground-strokes, starting with a simple rally, before we then finish by a progressive drill .
