Although volleying is one of the simplest strokes in tennis, it is often difficult to master because players try to do too much with the stroke.
Roger Federer uses an exquisite combination of technique and finesse to produce the shot, and this week we teach your players how to use this technique with a number of video drills.
Following a quick warm up, we then look at helping your players control their volleys, both with their forehand and backhand, as this is an important part of winning points. We then move on to work on returning the ball from a serve and winning at the net, to cover all of the parts of volleying and help your players perfect the shot.
Simple looking volleys are regularly underestimated by amateur players. Make sure your players treat them with enough respect so that they nail them every time!
