Ruck The standard run for the right-handed ruck should aim to hit into the 9-10 o'clock region. This is a very attacking setup. This is a very attacking setup. You as the ruckman are critical to this working, when you get your hand on the ball first and hit the hit zone. IT will g a long way to us controlling the game. Blocker The blocker needs to position themselves at the 12 O'clock spot when the ball is thrown up Not start there. This is to ensure that the opposition player doesn't know the play, opposition player is blocked to the left, allowing he receiver to meet the ball at 10 o'clock hit zone. The blocker is to protect the space effectively. Receiver The receiver can initiate from the 8 o'clock position or begin at the 4 o'clock and maneuver behind the ruck while competing for the ball. The receiver should approach the hot zone in front of their opponent emphasizing the importance of not rushing to he avoid the ball being behind them. Timing of this paly is crucial. Sweeper If the opposition ruck is the right-handed their hit zone will be in the 2-4 o'clock region. They are likely to employ their hit zone first. The sweeper should stay on their toes, move dynamically and aggressively approach the hit zone when the ball is thrown up.
