Players begin in th corner with the puck, skating out pushing the puck towards the cone, when the player get close to the cone they pass to the coach. Players pivot backwards and skate backwards to the low cones. Coach returns pass as the kids are going backwards, after reciving the pass weave around the cones and finish with a breakaway shot.
Push the kids with speed. Stronger kids should get the puck sooner for longer periods of backwards skating with the puck. Weaker kids hold the puck longer to keep flow on the drill.
