1. As soon as a card is given, the entire team and coach will yell ORANGE! This indicates we are man-down and will go immediately into this formation on defense 2. All players are close to 11m, person on ball is slightly closer to her player but NOT FULL PRESSURE on ball 3. Two players down low near crease, two players on elbow, two players up top 4. PASS CUTTERS OFF AND MEET IN THE MIDDLE 5. MUST MUST MUST CALL NAMES! 6. You do NOT have a player, you have a ZONE 7. STILL CALL CRASH! Everyone forget their zone and crash to ball 8. IF, their attack posts up one person in the middle (like mini-monkey) ONE defender leaves their zone and STAYS with that attacker, the other defenders SHIFT (now 2 low, 2 on elbows, 1 up top in a pentagon/house formation)
-You MUST communicate or this defense will fail -It is CHAOTIC! You will constantly be moving -Even if they set up a stack do not leave your zones, you can move slightly closer to the stack to help but you STAY in your area -Hedge in to help, that means move in to the middle quickly to look for cutters if your player doesn't have ball -If you are not on ball, STICKS UP towards MIDDLE to knockdown any passes/CRASH quickly
