Field Hockey: Low post power moves - footwork Drill

Players take it in turn to v cut / flash across the lane to the low post area.
Upon arriving, post up correctly and receive pass from passer. Player will then perform the designated move.

This is a high pressure shooting drill designed to teach players to hold their ground and shoot under pressure.

Rules: Players must shoot from inside the key. No dribbling (once they have the ball they must shoot). Players must make a basket before they can get out of the key in this all against all drill.Once a player scores and gets out a new player must come in (start with 6 players inside the key).

Player 2 makes an L shaped cut and then sprints to receive the ball from player 1, who then catches the ball, pivots and shoots.

Split all your players into two teams and have them line up on opposite sides of the court.

2 basketballs are placed at mid-court.

Each player is given a number (eg. 1-5).

The coach will set out a basket that each team will shoot at.

The coach will call out a number.

When the number is called out, the corresponding number will run out to get the ball, dribble to the basket and keep shooting till the shot is made.

Once the shot is made the players will run after the ball and dribble it back to the center circle.

The first player to score and get the ball back to the center circle wins.
