How accurate are your players long passes? This fun drill lets you find out.
Like on an archery board have different target zones - a central 'bull's eye' and then two outer targets.
From one side of the pitch to the other players take it in turns to have 4 consecutive cross-field passes, all the time trying to get the ball to land inside the 'bull's eye'.
You can change the distance of the long pass depending on the age and ability of your players.
It can also be fun to award points to make this drill into a scoring game. 10 points for a direct hit, 8 points for the next zone and 6 for the outer zone (marked here by yellow cones).
