Develop a well-known defensive structure in and around the box so every player knows their responsibility so that when it comes to keeping the ball out. Work on your pressing and speed of reactions to get into position around the box.

What’s in the Session?

Session focused on denying, deflecting and defending play from in and around the penalty area.
Players will begin to understand their roles and responsibilities once transitions occurred (lose possession) and how to defend successfully around the penalty area.
Pressing in packs, speed & timing of recovery, A&D’s of support, reading the play, dictating play.
The session is aimed at players between the ages of U12 – U16.
