You can't score goals if you don't have possession of the Football! Teams that can control possession of the Football, generally control the tempo and outcome of the game. That being said, just having the majority of possession isn't going to win you games. It's important that as a team you can use the ball wisely to exploit the opposition.
What's in the session?
This session is focused on utilising possession to break down, dislodge and exploit the opposition's shape.
Players will understand how effective possession will provide opportunities to play through the opposition and create goal scoring opportunities.
We will look at passing and receiving qualities, decision making, ball manipulation, speed and timing of movement and keeping possession whilst letting the ball do the work.
The session is aimed at players U14+.
