DESCRIPTION

Players take it in turns to make a run to their cone, just outside the 9 meter line.

Once they reach the cone players must feint moving inside before cutting outside to receive the pass just outside the 6 meter line from the feeder.

After receiving the pass players must shoot at goal.

COACHING POINTS

Variations in passing:

Center shot, Jump shot (3,2,1 step rhythm, jump off with wrong foot) or with both hands.

Feinting under pressure:

Players line up on both sides of the court with a ball in hand. They take it in turns to pass the ball to player 1 and then progress up the court.

As they move down the court the defender picks up the runner and passively shadows their movement.

The attacker must then move inwards before then sharply cutting outside to lose their marker, receive the ball from player 1 and make a shot on goal.

Cut, Feint and Dodge:

Players line up on the sideline with a ball each and take it in turns to run across the court.

As they approach each cone players should pass to static players making a sharp move towards the static players, feinting movement in that direction, before cutting back out to receive the pass in space.

Players all perform three cuts before they reach the other side of the court - where they then dribble with the ball around the area to the back of the line.
