DESCRIPTION

Players start by standing a few steps away from their cone and the ball is passed clockwise around the square.

Passing players should pass the ball in front of the receiver by aiming at their cone. The receiving player must advance to the cone to receive the pass before then sending the ball onwards

COACHING POINTS

Progression:

Vary the types of passes around the square.

On the coach's call players must change direction of the ball around the square.

Pass down the line:

Blue 1 feeds the ball in front of blue 2 who then duels with their opposite number before passing the ball across the pitch to the next attacking player.

The final player lays the ball off to the lone player, once all the balls are with this player the drill restarts in the opposite direction.

Ball Circulate - With teamwork pressure:

Blue players pass the ball around, working in a group of four.

Before each player can pass though they must run forward until they have made contact their defender.

The two defenders are marking two players each. Red 1 is marking the even numbers (2 and 4) while red 2 is marking the odd numbers.

warming-up : Give and Go snake run passing:

The first player waiting in line passes to the first player on the cone and immediately follows their pass and runs behind that player to receive the return pass.

Once they have the ball in hand again they pass the ball to the next player and drive behind them to loop in front of them and receive the ball again.

Once the player reaches the end of the course they dribble the ball to the corner and then sprint around the court back to the end of the line with the ball in hand.
