In this session we set the tempo for the rest of the hockey season by getting your players to once again pick up sticks, starting with some simple drills to reintroduce them to ball control, passing and moving with the ball.
Hopefully your team has already been working on their fitness, individually and as a team. However little can be done to prepare the body for the bending and moving motions of a hockey match.
What's in the session?
To get your players used to bending and moving again this session has been designed to gently switch your players hockey-minds back on - testing their dribbling and passing ability through a series of pair and team drills, increasingly getting your players to make the run to meet the ball and then move to offer another passing option!
