This intermediate-advanced Defensive Session is designed to help you tighten up your defence - particularly if your side uses the 3/4 court press but are repeatedly finding that the ball is getting though far too easily.
Often you'll find that when your forward line is doing really well in lining up and not making it easy for the opposition to pass the ball through to their midfield or posting-up players your players behind the press start to get complacent. This is when mistakes can happen as they get caught napping, reacting to the defensive situation rather than waiting for what's about to happen.
What's in the Session?
To get your players switched on to the threat and working on their movement and communication at the back this session starts with a game to practice the 3/4 and 1/2 court defence followed by a tackling back and man to man marking decision making exercise.
Don't let complacency turn into conceded goals - use this session to improve your players' defensive movement and communication.
