Beating the press u10

Hi,Wondering if you can offer some tips on how to beat the press. Doing u10 football and play the retreat line. But by the time the goalie has passed it out and the defend has little to to find the right pass. Any help would be appreciated

Hi Paul,

You need to get your defenders to be comfortable and confident on the ball. Passing along the backline, they will be able to pull the defence out of position and find the pass into the midfield. Here`s a good drill to practice this.

DESCRIPTION
Set up a playing area, divided into three equal sized playing areas. Players cannot enter another zone. To begin with play 6 attackers (3 in both ends) v 1 defender in the middle. The aim for the attackers is to use good passing movement to create space for the pass into the opposite zone.
