Does anyone have any good corner set pieces for 7 a side U11 team (short or long). Have a tournament coming up most games finish 0-0. i think if we can get a goal or two from corners it will be enough to get us close to winning. Thanks Dean
Hi Dean,
I coach a couple of teams at under 10's level & we have trained the boys to use signal's when taking corners. That way the boys in the box know what to expect for example front post, Back post, come short for a pass & come short to lay off corner taker for a shot. We score alot from corners and free kicks by simply catching the opposition sleeping.
Also got one where all attacking players stand outside the box together as a group & when taker gives signal they each attack different areas of the penalty box eg keeper, front post, back post. the point behind this is that it's harder to mark players when on the move.
Give these a try & you can let me know if they worked with your lad's

Hi Dean,
Here's a simple set piece I saw BHAFC use earlier this season, thought it might be of help so posting it here. Something different to try anyway?

Possession without purpose is pointless. These drills combine ball retention with physical conditioning to create teams that dominate and outlast opponents.
Teams have just 6 seconds to exploit a turnover before defences reorganise. Learn how to train your players to attack with speed and purpose.
The U10 age group is the golden window for developing ball mastery. Miss it, and you're playing catch-up forever. Here's how to get it right.
