I am currently studying the F.A. Level 1 coaching anf have been given See it Do it for my final assesment how would you go about putting a 15min drill together?
1stley u will need to know if you need a warm up is needed to apart of the drill, next you will need to develop a theme to put in your drill, i.e. shooting, passing etc. once done that youâll need to think of an activity that will help the players doing that activity improve their skill within that theme, then you will need to work out ways of developing that activity to make it harder or easier all depending on the players. if you can develop an activity 3 times, either easier or harder for the players then that should do the trick for your 15 min drill. e.g. Drill Theme%3A passing, Activity%3A simple passing between 2 players (two touch) Development(harder) 1%3A Invite a defender among the passers Development(harder) 2%3A Reduce size of area where passers can move into and 1st touch much be good to makes sure ball isn't lost Development(easier) 1%3Acan take as many touches as they want Development(easier) 2%3Aenlarge the area so passers have more time on the ball hope this helps you and I wasn't too late Jason
Hi Simon, all you need to do is make sure you are fully aware of everything about the game 'see it do it'. Study the game in the book and learn the progressions, maybe see if you can try it out at your club before your assesment. I did 'move in 2's' for my final assesment a few months back. What the assessor is looking for is that you understand the game and what it is asking of the players, that you understand the need to progress and that you can talk clearly. Moving around the playing area is a big point, make sure you dont talk to one set of people, talk to everyone and ask if tey have any questions before you begin. Also ask before staring if anyone has any injury you need to be aware of. Just list the key points of the activity, talk clearly, know your stuff and you will be fine. Good Luck, Matt
Congratulations on taking part on your level 1. As you have allready taken part in the 75 % of your first badge i would reccomend that prior to your assesment that you watch the move in 2s and look for the progression on your dvd. Its all there right in front of you. Try not to complicate matters and allways coach from the outside of the training area, and most of all relax and enjoy your training exercise. Best wishes Steve Burns. Devon
