I want to avoid young players standing waiting to do a drill (Cue). I have usually 10 -12 players at training 10-13 yr olds. Could u list a few possession/passing type drills that involve all of them at once.
it is sim. have the same drill set up more then once. like a 3v3 small sided game or if its a passing drill set up so that you have 2 or 3 groups doing the same drill in their own space.
Good idea. Or u can use circuit training keeping everyone on the move
Double the drill. If the drill has and attack or defence focussing on one side of play make sure the second drill works off the other side or weak side. Try to also arrange the drills so that you are in the dead space in the middle of the two drills so that you can keep an eye on both situations. I often find a pattern of a mistake in this position that is not so obvious in a single run drill.
If you have say for instance 16 players, set up 4 drills side by side or in the area that you have to keep things moving and interesting for the kids. Allocate 4 players to each area and a time limit i.e 30secs to 1 minute you want the 4 in each area to practice. Then rotate at the end of each time allocation. This keeps them moving, interested and keen to get to the drill that they sometimes prefer.
