Hi guys, I've got one of my best players come to me with his father and ask if I could hold a 1hr30mins session for just him to improve his football overall. He's got good ability, so does anyone have session ideas I could implement aswell as techniques to use when coaching one on one, as I've not done it before?
Hi Oliver,
Which position does your player play, and are there any areas you are looking to improve on? If you can let us (and other coaches know) hopefully we can give you a better answer with some drills to use for your session!
We look forward to hearing from you,

Hi Oliver,
For ball composure, we have drills looking at dribbling whilst under pressure. One example is the drill below, which looks at an attacker dribbling whilst under pressure from a defender. This is a 1 v 1 activity, so you (the coach) could act as the defender.
We also have a vast number of shooting drills, just simply take a look at the shooting category on the football drills page for ideas!
Hope that helps!

I would start with an obstacle course dribbling and completing moves around cones and shooting at the end. I would then move in and replace a cone to give "snowman defense". Then progress to 1v1 drills like the on abov, but adid in shooting at the end. With only one player it can be difficult to progress to a game like situation, but use multiple 1v1 drills to keep it fresh. Push him to use moves and take on the defender while getting into good position to shoot and make quality shots.
