The key teaching points for your players in this drill are:
- Maintaining possession and control of the ball
- Moving into space and finding areas of the pitch where you are available to receive a pass
- Communication so players in possession of the ball know where the space is and who is available.
- Decision making - Play the right pass and find the players who are in space.
- Defensive pressure - Make the tackle or the interception and do not allow the opposition time on the ball.
