Suicides - Speed Endurance Agi...

Set up to the side, using the pitch markings as an indicator of where to place your cones (on the touchline, in line with the 6 yard box, penalty spot and baseline).On hearing your whistle players sprint as fast as they can to the first line and touch the ground with their hand before quickly changing direction and running back to the touchline.Repeat to the next line.Finish the suicide by running as fast as you can to the furthest cone, touch the line and run back to your original starting point.

The first attacking player runs into the box, towards the penalty spot. As the attacker makes their run the feeder throws the ball in for a volley or header.

Set up a second goal as shown in the diagram.Player 1 starts standing behind a mannequin, positioned outside of the penalty box left hand corner.Player 2 is about 10m further down the pitch in line with Player 1. Player 2 passes the ball to player 1 and runs to the inside side of the mannequin for the lay off.Player 2 takes a shot at the left goal.At the same time as this Player 1, loops behind their run and enters the penalty box to receive a cross from Player 3, at the far right side.Play in both directions to practice crossing and shooting from each side.

The coach or a feeder player stands on the touchline. Players from the outside of the box take it in turns to run into the penalty area and run onto the pass at the near post - with the intention of slotting the ball past the keeper.

Communication Drill Passing an...

Set up your team in a small sided game on a pitch running from the edge of the penalty area to the half-way line.Play normal rules except for the fact that during the drill, players are not allowed to talk during the game. Players cannot call for the ball, tell a player where to go or where they want the ball passed to. This really emphasises the importance of communication. If a player does speak, then a free-kick is given to the opposite team.

The object of the game is to dribble to each of the gates in the area. Once a pair reaches the gate, they must play the ball through the cones 3 times back and forth before moving onto the next gate.If another ball is struck or a cone is moved 1 penalty point is occured. Lofted passes are great for clearing your lines, switching play or dinking the ball over the top to a striker who is making a run behind the other team's defensive line. Approach the ball at a slight angle, back swing of leg (using arms for balance) and follow through with your pass.

3 teams of 6: red blue and yellow.Set up an area starting at the edge of the penalty box, 44 yards wide and about 20 yards long.2 teams start in the area with the other team spaced evenly around the edge.Games of 6 vs 6 using the outside players as extras for whichever team has the ball: 3 minute rotation (including the players on the outside)The aim of this is for teams to keep possession of the ball for as long as possible.The players on the outside are 2 touch only.Have a goal at each end with Goalkeepers. The 2 outside players (yellow) nearest the top goal are numbered "1" and those nearest the bottom goal are numbered "2".One team attacks towards the end with the "1" players, the other towards the "2" players.Once a team in the area has had 6 consecutive passes then they can play the ball to the players "1" or "2" and then can enter the penalty area to shoot at goal.Players "1" or "2" only have 2 touches to pass to the player running in.If players aren't getting enough opportunities to take shots, due to not breaking through Defence then each team can shoot in both goals. This will create more space for both of them.6 games, so each team plays the others twice.

Players on the wing run with the ball down the side of the pitch before crossing for an attacker who has ran into the area, usually at the far post. Attackers begin further back than the wingers and in line with the corner of the penalty area. Once the coach blows his whistle, the attacker must sprint at full speed to reach the area and get on the end of the cross.

Set up as shown. Player 1 starts with the ball in the middle of the field and plays a 1-2 pass with player 2 before passing out wide to player 3. At this point, players 1 and 2 run towards the penalty area, ready to receive a cross, while one of the defenders goes out wide to put pressure on the crosser. Player 3 will cross the ball into the box where players 1 and 2 will try to beat the defender to it and score.

Once the signal has been given between a player and the corner taker, the ball is then crossed into the box. Three players should be making runs into the box from the edge of the area, and attacking the ball, with a player also on the front post to attack or flick the ball on.

I have a dilema in my under 12s team 3 of them want to take the next penalty we get how do I solve this problem???

Does anyone have any good corner set pieces?

Does anyone have any good corner set pieces for 7 a side U11 team (short or long). Have a tournament coming up most games finish 0-0. i think if we can get a goal or two from corners it will be enough to get us close to winning. Thanks Dean
