Football: 1 Touch Shooting - S...

Position players in groups of 4 as shown in the diagram. Repeat in 2 other areas for a total of 12 players.The server (player 3) stands behind the goalkeeper. He makes a pass out to the shooter who strikes the ball 1st time at the goal. This shot must come from the grid at the right of the diagram. Player 2 retrieves any balls from behind the goal. Repeat and rotate.<br>Progression: Serve the ball for a volley or 1/2 volley.

Position 5 Attacking players as shown on the diagram and a GK in the goal.Pass 1 --&gt; 2 --&gt; 3 --&gt; 4 --&gt; 5; with 5 running round from behind 4 to collect the pass. Have a mannequin set up either side of player 4.After a player has made a pass they will move into the starting position of the person they have passed to. Form a line of players ready to make it a continuous drill.This should be repeated on each side.

A Christmas themed fun football drill for players.Set up as shown in diagram with cones in the shape of a Christmas tree.Players line up in 2 lines.On the whistle, players must run in the direction show on the diagram.First one to the ball, earns the right to shoot at the keeper.Split into 2 teams and keep score. Try to match players with similar agility.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks 1 v 1...

Position players in 2 lines on each side of the area as shown in the diagram. Number each player from 1-6. This game is a throw back to the Disney classic, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. The coach calls out a number between 1 and 6. The numbered player from each team must run around the outside of the field and through the goal at the top or bottom of the diagram onto the field of play. The coach serves a ball into the middle of the area. Players must compete to win the ball and attempt to dribble or shoot the ball through the goal at the opposite end of the area from which they entered.

Position 4 players from each team randomly within the area. Place a goalkeeper in each of the goals.The white team can score can score in the goals to the left and right of the diagram, while the blue team can score in goals at either the top or the bottom of the diagram.You can choose to make the goals 5 yards wide and play with no goalkeepers in a 6 v 6 within the area.

Shoot & Rebound Shooting - Foo...

Groups of six. Four balls per group. Position players as shown in the diagram. Repeat in another area for a total of 12 players. Red player 1 passes the ball to red server 3 who passes the ball back into the path of red player 1. Red player 1 shoots low and to the far post. Red player 3 turns and runs to the area at the far post to pick up any rebounds or shots wide of the target. Red player 3 becomes the goalkeeper. Blue goalkeeper goes to the back of the line and blue players 1 and 2 assume the pass and serve positions. Repeat the practice and rotate positions. Save= 5 points; rebound= 3 points; goal= 5 points; shot on target= 3 points.<br>Progression: Make blue player 1 a defender.

Set out three grids within the area according to the dimensions shown in the above diagram. Play 3 v 3 in the 30 x 40 yard grid.The team in possession plays the ball around the central area. The goal of the game is to penetrate into the attacking area and finish a 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper must stay on the line until the attacker crosses the attacking line.Progression: Allow a single defender to pursue the attacker to pressure or block the shot.

Frogger Dribbling - Football D...

Section off four 5 x 5 yard squares in the corners of your 20 x 20 yard area. Station 3 players without a ball in each corner area. Before the game starts, the coach can tell the players the story of frogger, who jumps from lily pad to lily pad visiting his friends. He must return home before dark or else his mother will give him a good tongue lashing. Once the game begins, the coach shouts out, "Frogger!" Players must run from their corner area to the next sequential corner area as shown in the diagram. Continue the activity until players return to the area where they started.

Rats and Rabbits Dribbling - F...

Set out two lines of six discs approximately 5 yards apart. Station 1 player by each disc. One ball per player. One team is the "Rats" and the others the "Rabbits". When the coach calls out "Rabbits", the rabbits team chase the rats to the end line. The rabbits must tag the rats before they reach the safety of their end line. Repeat in the opposite direction when the coach calls out "Rats".

1 ball per player. Players should perform fast footwork drills - either with the inside of the foot to inside of foot or toe tapping on top of the ball. When the coach shouts out "Rats!", the players at the top of the diagram must attempt to chase the other players. The object of the game is for the player in pursuit to tag his opposing partner on the back of the shoulders before he reaches the end line. Players return to the middle discs after each attempt. Repeat and rotate directions. The team in pursuit attempts to strike their ball to hit the opposing player on or below the knee.

3 vs 2 - Two channels 1 v 1 sk...

2 players in one channel attack 1 defender whilst another attacker and defender wait in the other channel. The 2 attackers in the first channel play a 2 vs 1, trying to score a goal. However the 2nd defender can choose to come across and help defend making it a 2 vs 2 . Having drawn both defenders across into one channel the 2 attackers may choose to use the other channel and exploit the open space or continue to attack without using the unmarked player.

Dribble, Pass, Run and Relay A...

Great for warm ups. Players dribble through the cones, pass to the waiting player at the end of the cones and then run back to touch the first red cone. They then turn and sprint back inside the red square where they play a quick one-two. After this they run back towards the start line, looking to run onto the weighted pass from the blue player. The next player then goes.

Set up 3 cones (or poles) spaced as shown in the diagram.Have a mannequin positioned on either side of the middle, just before the penalty box.Have a Player positioned on the backline to the left side in the penalty box with a ball.Have another Player (W) positioned out wide to the right side with a ball.A Player starts halfway between the centre circle and goal; dribbles the ball around the cones and in between the mannequins to take a shot.After first shot, Player quickly moves around the left hand mannequin and gets a cross from the wide player. Then the Player recovers around the right hand mannequin to receive the ball from the player on the goal line.Rotate the players around ever play (shooter &gt; winger &gt; backline player &gt; shooter line)

Football: Defending the Midfie...

Play 2 v 2 in the area furthest from goal and 2 v 3 in the defensive area around the goal. Make 2 small goals on the end line for the defense to play out through. The attacking team (gold) in the area furthest from the goal, combine to play the ball into the two attackers in the opposite area. The two defenders in the area furthest from the goal attempt to intercept passes as they are played through. The three defenders in the defensive area mu st pressure the ball, marking tightly when close to the ball or goal. Defenders from the area furthest from the goal may enter into the defensive area to support the three defenders and to serve as midfield players for clearances from the back. If defenders intercept the ball, they should attempt to play the ball through either of the small goals at the bottom of the diagram.

Set out three grids within the area according to the dimensions shown in the above diagram. Play 3 v 1 in each large area, plus a goalkeeper.The 3 blue players combine to dribble the ball past the lone white defender into the midfield area then shoot on the goal. The lone blue player in the other area follows up on rebounds from the goalkeeper. Repeat in the opposite direction. Rotate positions.Progressions:<br>1. The lone defender can track the attacking player into the midfield area in an attempt to pressure the attacker or block the shot.<br>2. Change the ratio of attackers to defenders to 3 v 2.

How do I create a lesson plan?

I have created three diagrams around combination play in football, supported by set up, progressions and coaching points. However when I try to create a lesson plan and add this where it says add diagram I am unable to add my work. I really like the potential of this app but need to solve this issue if I am going to use it on a regular basis, please help
