Drag dummy step over - Stage 2...

In this practice there are 2 stages of a particular skill to beat an opponent. In this practice the player has to drag the ball with one foot and dummy step over the ball to make the ball roll wide of the step over leg

Drag dummy step over - Stage 5...

Working in pairs, the drills starts with the defender passing the ball to the player practicing the skill. The skill in this practice is that the player drags the ball with the instep of the right foot across the body. The player then steps over the ball with the left foot pretending to kick the ball in the opposite direction (moving the defender out of the way). The ball continues to roll and the attacker runs past the defender and continues to run to the opposite cone.

Over Under and In Between Cond...

Position players as shown in the diagram, with one ball between each team. Player 1 passes the ball overhead to player 2, who passes the ball through their legs to player 3, who passes the ball overhead to player 4. When the ball gets to the back of the line, the last player runs to the front and repeats the exercise.

World Cup Control Passing and ...

Group in pairs. One ball between the pair. Repeat in 5 other areas for a total of 12 players.Player 1 passes the ball across the area to player 2, who must control the ball with the inside of his foot. Player 2 then passes the ball back across the area. Player 1 repeats the practice. The object of the game is to roll the ball over the end line with out the opposing player stopping it. To score a goal, the ball must travel below waist height. Each player should pick his favorite national team and represent that country. The first country to score 5 goals wins the World Cup.Progression: If you pass the ball back first time and score, you get 2 goals.

In this practice the player steps out then steps over the ball to then take the ball into the same direction with the instep of the opposite foot to the step over leg and beat the opponent

Driven pass - with laces Techn...

Use your laces to drive through the ball, keeping the ball on the ground to quickly get the ball from A to B. To keep the ball down ensure your knee is over the ball as you strike it and don't lean back. Strike the centre of the ball with the laces (instep), with the toes pointing downwards. Follow through with the kicking leg to increase power.

Practicing the skill of dragging the ball with the sole of the boot and step over the ball to let the ball roll. After each time the skill is performed the player should go back to the starting point and repeat the practice.

Objective: To successfully use different surfaces to control the ball in an unopposed practice.Detail:Mark out a 20 x 20 area.Split the players into pairs.Players then spread around the outside of the area with their partner on the inside.To begin, players are stationary and play two touch by controlling the ball before passing back.Players remain stationary whilst working on control and aerial control (chest, thigh, head).Get in line with the ball.Select an appropriate controlling surface.Show surface to control the ball.Withdraw surface to reduce impact.Angle of body to turn.

Four Goal Football Conditioned...

Play small sided game in a suitable area (e.g half field 6v6). Two teams attempt to score in any of the goals. A goal counts if the ball is passed through the goals and one of your teammates receives the pass round the otherside of the goal. The game is continued so it does not stop after every goal.

Footwork Hurdle Drill Goalkeep...

Set up evenly spaced line of cones in front of a goal with two hurdles (or set out hurdles with more cones) either end of the line of cones.Server out in front.GK jumps over the hurdle side on and back to the goal. Goalkeeper performs footwork through the cones.As soon as the GK gets to the middle cone (make this cone a different colour to the others for ease) Server plays a ball for the GK to save.Start with server playing the ball into the handsSwap sides entering the line from.

Drills to keep 35 U7s entertained?

i coach 35 u7s and trying to keep them all entertained is a challenge! We train in a sports hall and divide this into 4 quarters and try to have 4 different drills going but anyone got 4 good games to keep them interested. Its tough having lots of kids of all abilities but its a good challenge!
