Disciplining for misbehaviour? 8-11 year olds, they dont really get bored because i know that sometimes that can be the cause. How or what can i apply a bit of strictness into the team.
My U10's wont tackle hard enough? I coach an U10's team and the problem I have is that they are too nice! Any suggestions how I can get them to show a little more aggression, especially in tackles without turning them into bullies/thugs?
I am a coach of a U10 girlâs team, who for the majority haven't previously played. I'm finding that they are now shying away from the ball and moving backwards instead of closing the gap, tackling or putting the attacking team under pressure when they have the ball. Does anyone have any tips or drills that I can use to help them overcome this?
During a match, my team seem to stand back and let the other team take control. Is there anyway I can get them to be first to the ball and compete to win?
...where it will list and describe playing terminology such as shave, tackle-back, steal, forehand.
Its my Under 8s first friendly on Friday and most children have only been training a few weeks so know nothing about positions, marking etc.How do you suggest I go about setting them up and explaining what they need to do.I don't mind what result we get as long as they enjoy it.
Im an assistant coach running a under 7 team. During play a few of the parents/family of the players keeping shouting out instructions Like tackle, clear it get back get up front etc. Even the manager I help and it seams to me some if the players get disstracted and confused to what they should do, it's come to the point a player seems to scared to do what he feels, just incase he does something wrong. How do I go about this? Asked using Sportplan Mobile App
Has anyone any advice on how to instil a level of commitment, intensity in u10s. We have a couple of players who don't press, or tackle as a few others on the team. It means that the burden of winning the ball back falls to a few, rather than all, and I'd like to see if there's any techniques to instil this.
what type of activities will inprove my defence
I'm a development officer for a women's university football team where we get many different people from all over the world and we seem to struggle with communication and terminology as we say different things from where we are from I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how best to tackle this or any solutions to help the team communicate better?
Any suggestions on fun defending sessions for my under 7s team. Any fun shooting sessions would also be a bonus too...
whats the key teaching points
Does anyone know any good defending drills not for a team but for an individual it has been hard to find any drills other than the basics of defending and some ones to do with jockeying and body positioning.
block tackle
Team keep getting thrashed every week - where to start? Having been the sole coach/manager of a little league team for the past two years, this year I lost all my senior players. I was therefore presented with 10 brand new lads, some of whom have never played competitive football. We are 8 games in and my lads are getting thrashed every week. The main problems are that they cannot get the ball out of their half, positions are usually a mess, finishing and chance creation are non-existent, and they don't apply any pressure or are unable to tackle. The main problems are keeping the ball as a team, getting it in the opponents half and staying there, and creating/finishing chances. I only have 1 and a half hours a week with them. I don't really know what to do, and I'm a little desperate. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks for literally anything.
