In this drill player works on abdominal muscles. Abs are crucial for effective match play in tennis so athletes have to perform regular exercises focused on strengthening this area. This drill is quite difficult and demanding so only good athletes should perform it to make sure that no harm can be done to players. If player is at lower level of physical preparation he can perform just regular up and down movement without coach’s involvement.
