Players will work in pairs and they will be given a javelin. They will then listen to the coach and learn the correct technique on how to hold and throw a javelin. They will also learn how to mark their partners javelin throw and what is the correct way to mark a javelin.
Show the players that they must hold the javelin in their strongest hand and use their other hand (weaker hand) to aim in the direction they want to go in. They also must been shown the correct body position, bring the javelin back behind their head and bend and get low to generate power in the throw. Explain that the more power they generate the further the javelin will go. Listening Skills Communication Team Work
