the play begins off an endine pickup the 5 spot will pass to 4 who passes it back to 5, this inititates the play upon the pass back, the 2 spot will cut low on the crease on the backside for a lefty quick stick the 4 spot will cut through and the 5 spot will dodge the open space towards the wing the 1,2,3 spot will set "traffic picks" for 6 sweeping over the top looking for a catch and shoot feed from 4 a traffic pick is just "being in the way" not exactly setting a standard pick the crease must remain active to keep defenders occupied from being a slide the 5 spot may have the option to throw back to the 4 spot after the exchange if that is where the slide comes from 5 must dodge the wing to score to sell the play but keep his head up during the dodge to see the pick play develop
this works best if the crease plays dumb about creating traffic for the 6 spot the 4 must get through after passing down to 5 but should immediately be ready to receive a pass the 5 spot is responible for backup. if the 5 spot attacks with the ball the 2 spot is the backup
