This man down defense is an ultra aggressive penalty kill looking to pressure the ball and create turnovers the top 3 d poles will play aggressively on ball and look to possible deny adjacent passes the SSDM is responsible for the crease area the bottom D pole will fly from the crease to both wing spots, whichever is ball side as the ball moves to the opposite side of the field, the top corner D pole will drop down to play the bottom wing/skip pass lane/backside crease we will rotate from the next adjacent defender
Communication is key! Communication is key! Communication is key! at all times we will essentially have 4-5 defenders ball side so we must move fast and efficient as the ball moves remember that when you help ball side, the backside gets more exposed so keep your head on a swivel for backside movement the 3 players sharing the crease must be in constant communication so nobody loses a guy on the doorstep
