DESCRIPTION

  • Player stands on the baseline.
  • Coach feeds balls to the deuce side.
  • Player executes forehand angle slice cross-court, forehand deep slice cross-court and forehand drop shot down the line.


COACHING POINTS

  • Players works on a variety of forehand shots using the slice.
  • Preparing the forehand slice is visible for the opponent but it doesn't mean that the opponent can guess our intention.
  • By being able to change depth and placement of your own shot, the opponent will difficulty finding the proper place on the court to be prepared for all possible responses.
  • Coach should encourage players to try different approaches to the same ball and pay attention to the effectiveness of their own execution to continue the actions that provide the biggest chance for winning.
