Alternating Volleys:

Players line up on secure line and hits 1st Forehand volley to 1, player then continues forward to 2nd volley for a backahnd volley down the line.

Volley Drills

Back and Forth:

Both players start at service line. Red 1 has to hit a ground stroke and then approach the net and play a volley back to Blue 1 and then return to service line. Repeat 6-10 shots then stop for Blue 1 to continue drill.

Volley Drills

Backhand/Forehand/Volley:

Coach, 4 players, 3 targets, and a basket of tennis balls.

Player 1 starts off on the centre of the baseline.

Coach feeds ball 1 to the corner of the singles court for player 1 to play a cross court backhand to target 1.

Coach feeds ball 2 to the opposite side of the court just in front of service box for player 1 to run on to and play a short cross court forehand at target 2.

Coach feeds ball to the centre of the opposite service box for player 1 to run on to and play a backhand volley to target 3.

Player 1 joins the queue.

Drill repeated with player 2/3/4.

Volley Drills

Backhand Approach:

Players start iff in no mans land. Players approach the backhand, gets into the first volley position (Backhand), then changes to forehand for second volley down the open court
