Hi Rupert,
When working with kids, it`s very important to get as many of them involved as possible to stop them from losing interest.
Work on the basics of cricket, the batting, bowling and fielding with straightforward drills which will develop their motor skills to become good cricketers.
This drill is perfect for the batting aspect of the game. Have the other kids feeding the ball (you can adjust the types/pace of the feeds accordingly depending on their ability) and encourage the batsmen to play with a straight bat, aiming to play the ball back towards the feeder.
Encouraging them to play with a straight bat from an early age will only improve their overall game. Having this as a foundation skill is vital to build the rest of their technique upon.
Similar drills can be created and adapted for bowling and fielding with one having `x` amount of shots, bowls, throws before swapping with the feeder/receiver.
There are plenty of drills and sessions on Sportplan which you can use as inspiration.
I hope this helps!
