My son is playing Green at the moment and in 5 months time he will be yellow..how soon do you think He should start training Yellow..
Hi Yashas, what do you mean by saying your son is "moving from green to yellow"?
Also, in order to help people anwser your question could you provide a bit more information? How old is your son, how much experience of playing does he have, how often does he play?
Alex
Hi,
He is 10 year old..and playing Tennis since last 3 years..he is playing Green ball at the moment....he spends roughly 8 hrs per week..
Hi,
If he has been playing for the last few years I think this will be fine. He will have already progressed from red-orange-green and so green-yellow would be the logical continuation of his development as a player.
Green ball is for players 10 years old and under whereas yellow ball is for players 11 years old and over (requiring a full-size racquet) so in 5 months time he will be (or very nearly) within the right age bracket to play yellow.
As long as he is happy then I don't think you have anything to worry about, sure it will be harder at first but it's good for players to push themselves so that they can continue to develop and improve as players.
All the best,
Alex
