Hi Many times you find new beginners, especially kids, tend to do the easier way of forehand shots by under-spinning/slicing the balls to get over the nets.
I've tried a few ways but it's not to easy to change a habit. Please help. Thanks a lot. KT.
Hi there! It might be a bit late and you already figured the way to get that sorted...
Ask your players to finish the swing with the back of their hand touching their neck over the shoulder and they will start brushing it up. That`s one way we teach topspin to players in Spain.
Cheers!
Tks vs m yr reply. Hv tried but they still chop chop - under spinning the balls after a while. I guess discipline on this wld help. Gd day.,

Hit lower across the net and shoot for a flat penetrating ball to your target no top spin. You can even aim at the tap it should be what your looking for.
Stay abovE the ball and use a standard high to low across the shoulder technique. With a slightly open face it, not to open but open. Should teach control and feel at that point. And then move on to spin. :)
Thank v m to all yr good points. Will try.
