How to get confidence on the short ball?

How to get confidence in putting the ball away on a short ball??? The girl I teach puts the ball excellent away in practices but in matches she loses her confidence and the on the short ball she just rally it back to her opponent.

What can I do?????

Why not give her some match targets i.e. can you hit 2 short ball winners during your match?

It does work for me. Small targets lead to bigger targets.
